About the event
Please join us this Thursday, September 26th at 6:30 PM at the Stevens Memorial Library in Ashburnham for a presentation on finding safe ways to remove pest rodents from your home without harming wildlife and your pets. Rodenticides are killing our pets and the carnivores who help control these pests.
Our presenter, Gary Menin is a retired environmental compliance manager for General Electric, and physics teacher. He has always had an interest in nature, ecology, bird watching, and birds of prey specifically, because he found them so inspiring. Gary is the head of the Massachusetts chapter of Raptors Are The Solution (R.A.T.S.). He will discuss his fascination with birds of prey, why they are so vital to our ecosystem, how rodenticides have impacted their populations and how we can find a better way.
